Martin 1866 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Ban Xay Fong near Vientiane, Laos, in May 1973. The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle holds the sheet as P06884314,[1] and the Economic Botany herbarium at Harvard holds a duplicate as ECON 00449839.[2]

The catalogue gives the locality as Bon Xay Fonj, près Vientiane, the date as May 1973 and the collector as Martin, M., number 1866.[1]

Specimen and identification
The field note reads Herbe dure, fleur ♀ (a hard herb), female flower.[3] The plant is recorded as Cannabis sativa L., determined by Querido.[1] Harvard files its duplicate under Cannabis sativa subsp. indica (Lamarck) E. Small & Cronquist, accession ECON 21566.[2]
