Maliyants s.n. is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa gathered in the environs of Erivan, today's Yerevan, Armenia, in 1904 by G. P. Maliyants. The Moscow University Herbarium holds the sheet as MW0661552.[1]
Collection and locality
The label is typed 1904. Кавказ: окр Эривани. (1904. Caucasus: environs of Erivan) and Малиянц, Г.П (Maliyants, G. P.), under the printed heading of the Moscow University Herbarium. It gives no day or month and no field number.[2] The catalogue gives the same collector, place and year.[1] Erivan is the older name of Yerevan.
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries two leafy, flowering stems with palmate leaves of narrow leaflets, and an empty paper capsule at the top left.[2] The name Cannabis sativa L. is pencilled on the label without a determiner's name; the catalogue files the sheet under the same name and gives the collector as the determiner.[2][1]
