Liu Ying 13331 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected in Hebei, China, at 1,000 m on 14 August 1950 by a collector the label names as 劉瑛, Liu Ying, for the Institute of Plant Taxonomy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Missouri Botanical Garden holds the sheet as 105662455.[1]
Collection and locality
The printed label reads 河北省植物 (plants of Hebei province) and 中國科學院植物分類研究所 植物標本室 (herbarium of the Institute of Plant Taxonomy, Chinese Academy of Sciences). It gives the collector and number 劉瑛 13331, the date 50年8月14日 (14 August 1950) and the altitude 1000 m; the place line is too faint to read.[2] The catalogue gives the collector, number and date, with no locality.[1]
Specimen and identification
The label describes the plant as a herb (草本) up to about 7 feet tall, with yellowish-green flowers (黃綠色), and enters the family as Moraceae and the name as Cannabis sativa L.[2] The catalogue records the same name.[1] The image is published under a non-commercial licence and is not reproduced here. Liu Ying's earlier gathering on Xiao Wutai Shan is Liu Ying 10878 (1935).
