Huang 2627 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Nitou (泥頭), in Sichuan, China, on 4 September 1930 by three collectors, the first named 黃治平. The Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing holds the sheet as PE 00761619[1].
Collection and locality
The label is a Flora of China form of the Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Peiping. The number 2627 and the date 1930 SEP. 4 are stamped in purple, and the locality 四川 泥頭 (Szechwan, Nitou) and the names of three collectors are entered in Chinese: 黃治平, followed by two names that were not read in full.[2] The catalogue gives the collectors as 黄治平等 (黃治平 and others), the number, the year and Sichuan.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries a tall, slender male plant past flowering, with narrow serrate leaflets, sparse flower clusters and roots. A slip names it Cannabis sativa Linn., determined by Cao Ziyu in January 2004.[2] The Chinese Virtual Herbarium publishes its sheet images under a non-commercial, no-derivatives licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0); they are read and cited here, not reproduced.
