Harrington s.n., Stellenbosch is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Stellenbosch in the Western Cape, South Africa, on 5 March 1970 by N. Harrington. The Compton Herbarium (NBG) holds the sheet as NBG0260287-0.[1] The National Herbarium (PRE) holds a second sheet as PRE0372450-0.
Collection and locality
The Compton entry gives the date as 5 March 1970, the locality as Stellenbosch. Farm on Somerset West Road. and the habitat as Mountain slope. Roadside. Pretoria's entry for the same gathering gives the locality in upper case as FARM ON SOMERSET WEST RD. TO STELLENBOSCH and carries no habitat at all.[1]
Field description
The Compton entry's plant description reads Weed. Pretoria's entry has none.[1]
Specimen and identification
Both sheets are filed as Cannabis sativa L. var. sativa. The Compton sheet names J. A. Marsh as determiner; Pretoria names none.[1]
