Hao 3544 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Chengchow (Zhengzhou), Henan (then Honan), China, on 24 June 1932 by K. S. Hao. The Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing holds two sheets, PE 00557953[1] and PE 00777345[2].
Collection and locality
Each sheet carries a typed Flora of China form with the number Hao.3544, the date 24/6/1932, the locality Chengchow, Honan and the collector K.S.Hao, and a label of the Herbarium Academiae Nationalis Pekinensis reading Honan: Chengchow, June 24, 1932 and Leg. K.S.Hao (3544). Det. W.Y.Hsia. PE 00777345 also carries a tag with the collector's name in full, Hao-Kin-Shen.[3][4] The catalogue gives the collector, number, year and Henan.[1]
Specimen and identification
Both sheets carry bundles of long, straight stems with their roots and drooping flowering tops. The herbarium labels name the plant Cannabis sativa Linn., determined by W. Y.
