Colombian Gold Legacy Edition 2023 is a seed accession of Colombian Gold Legacy Edition, a cannabis cross that Hyp3rids, a seed company, sells as a pack of fifteen or more regular seeds. The company gives its parents as an 80's Colombian Gold mother, a hybridised Colombian, and a father that it calls a pure heirloom 1970 Colombian Gold IBL. The Colombian parents are sold under the Colombian Gold name (Santa Marta Gold).[1]
History
The earliest archived capture of the company's own page for the line was made on 22 March 2023.[1] The company says that the mother is the 80's Colombian Gold that a forum acquaintance gave it, passed around in the 1980s and selfed. It says that the father came from seeds collected in 1970 and stored for years before it grew them out again "very recently" as an inbred line, and that the pack includes a freebie seed of that 1970 line while stocks last.[1]
Growth
The company says that the mother is a shorter, stockier plant of 12 weeks of flowering, and that the father needs 24 to 26 weeks. It describes the father as a pure narrow-leaf plant with thick leathery leaves and strong branching, which turned entirely purple, and whose males drop pollen at about week 5 or 6.[1]
Aroma
The company describes the mother's aromas as sandalwood incense, frankincense, cedar and pine, with a very peppery taste. It says that the high, even with broad leaves, keeps low or no sedation.[1]
