Punto Rojo P3 C-Line 2008 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that Hyp3rids sells as Punto Rojo P3 C-Line, under the Colombian name Punto rojo. The company says that the line was bred from seed collected in Colombia in 2008.[1]
History
According to the company, the line is a third generation (P3) bred from first-generation (P1) seed that a group of collectors gathered in Colombia in 2008. It says that the second generation used a P1 male from one collector crossed to females selected by another, and that the mother of the C-line, a P3 plant it calls "Juicy Lucy", had the shortest flowering, the most compact growth and the densest flowers.[1]
The company describes the line as a mix of its P1 to P3 Punto Rojo plants. It says that the Colombian stock holds about fifteen genotypes, and that broad leaves in a plant probably show broad-leaf influence in the line's Colombian ancestry from before 2008.[1]
Growth
The company says that plants of the stock flower for 14 to 22 weeks to harvest, and that the C-line is its shorter-flowering selection, most plants taking 14 weeks in all. It describes a medium to tall plant in a Christmas-tree shape and a very large yield, and says that, coming from near the equator, the line flowers longer than Thai cultivars.[1]
Aroma
The company lists the aroma as butane, savoury, fruity and floral, and gives a THC content of 15 per cent.[1]
