Evidentiary scope

This accession is no longer sold, so the article rests on the versions of the two listings that offered it, on the two announcements of 3 and 5 December 2019, and on one statement about it in RSC's listing for Highland Lao #2. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). The listings place the line in the mountains, later the highlands, of Bolikhamsai, date the sourcing to Winter 2019, and name no district, village or farmer. The account of cultivation moving into Bolikhamsai is RSC's and has not been checked against other sources; the article attributes it. No conservation priority is entered: see below. Georeferencing

The listings name only Bolikhamsai Province and give a latitude of about 18° N. The coordinate is the label point of Bolikhamsai Province in OpenStreetMap (relation 5831655), rounded to two decimal places: 18.58, 104.15, in Viengthong District, the same point the other Bolikhamsai accessions carry (see Talk:RSC-LAO-BOL-0120230001). Editorial treatment

Accession ID. RSC-LAO-BOL-0120190001: BOL for Bolikhamsai Province, from the listing's own "mountains of Bolikhamsai Province"; serial 0001 as the first 2019 accession from the province, checked free through the API before minting.
Month.' 01, the corpus value for a month the sourcing line does not give. The line says "Winter 2019", as Gorkha Nepalis says "Winter 2024" and takes 01. RSC also writes that the seeds came from plants taken down at the end of October; that describes the harvest of the source plants, not the collection, so it is reported in the article and not entered as a month or as sample_harvest_date, which would need a year the sentence does not give.
Descriptive name. Highland Lao General Population 2019, the collection form set by the naming convention reference, §8B. The listing was titled Highland Lao in every version, with no number.
Collector. Angus, as on the other accessions RSC sourced itself.
Harvest window. December to January, from the listing's own "Regional Harvest" line, as Burmese General Population 2021 enters its line. RSC replaced it with "Seed to harvest 6 months" from October 2022; Kwik Seeds kept December to January. The two cropping cycles the listing describes are RSC's account of mainland Southeast Asia generally, so they are in the article and not in the cycle fields.
Aroma. The field holds both of RSC's descriptions, "fruity, peppery, and musky" (to May 2022) and "musky, spicy, strong citrus" (from October 2022), because both describe this collection: the sourcing line is Winter 2019 in every version.
Not entered. No leaf shape: the listings do not describe the leaflets. No effects: the listings give none of their own, and the only description of the high is a grower's, quoted in the article. The purple colour that grower reports is a grow-out observation and is not entered as a leaf or stigma colour.
Conventions. Photoperiod Short-day, introgression Minimal, and "Sativa-type architecture" as growth pattern Christmas tree, as on the other RSC accessions; the listings state none of them.
Seed storage. The Real Seed Company, as on the sibling pages. No source says whether RSC still holds seed of this lot.

Same population, and why nothing is asserted

RSC's listing for Highland Lao #2, sourced February 2020, said: "Note that this is not from the same farmer as the other Highland Lao accession." Its Highland Lao #4 listing called that line "a distinct accession from a new source", and Highland Lao #5 is "the first accession we have obtained from this farmer". No source says any of these lots samples the same population as this one, so same_population_accessions is empty and the later Bolikhamsai accessions are linked in See Also only, as they already link each other. Conservation priority

Not rated. This accession is no longer offered, and the ratings review of 17 September 2026 covered the pages live then. The field is left blank rather than inheriting the High on the Highland Lao #5, #6 and #7 pages, which rests on regional pressures and on statements about those lots. Source discrepancies

Genetics line. RSC: "Pure Lao – Thai Landrace Strain" (December 2019), "Lao – Thai Landrace" (August 2020 to January 2021), "Traditional Lao – Thai Ganja Domesticate ('Landrace')" (from April 2021). Kwik Seeds: the first to January 2021, then the third.
Classification. RSC gives C. sativa subsp. indica var. indica from August 2020; Kwik Seeds never gives one.
Regional harvest. RSC: "December to January" to May 2022, then "Seed to harvest 6 months." Kwik Seeds: "December to January" throughout.
Aroma. RSC: "Fruity, peppery, and musky aromas" to May 2022, then "Musky, spicy, strong citrus", with a closing line "Aromas are musky, spicy, and strongly citrus." Kwik Seeds: the first throughout.
Place. RSC: "collected in the mountains of Bolikhamsai Province" to October 2021, then "in the highlands of Bolikhamsai Province". Kwik Seeds: "mountains" throughout.
Only on RSC. The indoor grower's report (from May 2022), the phrase "the historic centres of 'Thai' ganja production" (August 2020 to October 2021), and "Both regions are predominantly ethnically Lao" (from October 2022).

Archived versions

The Wayback Machine holds 13 versions of the RSC listing, 12 December 2019 to 1 March 2024, and 8 of the Kwik Seeds listing, 30 September 2020 to 20 March 2023. All were read, titles as well as descriptions. Every version is titled Highland Lao and gives the Winter 2019 sourcing, so every version describes this collection and all are usable. The phrase ranges above were dated across all 21.

RSC's address now answers with a permanent redirect to /product/highland-lao-landrace-strain-cannabis-seeds-2/, the listing that carried Highland Lao #4 and now carries Highland Lao #6; the RSC citations keep url-status=live, as on RSC-LAO-BOL-0120220001. Kwik Seeds' address and RSC's Highland Lao #2 address return 404, so those citations are url-status=dead. RSC's product sitemap no longer lists this line. Éloise 16:35, 18 September 2026 (+07)

Photographs

The infobox image, RSC Highland Lao 1.jpg, is the photograph both listings embedded in their descriptions with the caption "Lao landrace, Central Laos": RSC in December 2019, Kwik Seeds from September 2020 to May 2022. RSC's copy and Kwik Seeds' are the same file. It is also the listing's main product image, which is the same photograph scaled into a square with black bars (normalised correlation 0.955 against the captioned file). The caption does not say the plant is from this lot, so the wiki's caption quotes it and claims no more. It was uploaded under fair use at reduced resolution.

The December 2019 listing also carried a landscape captioned "Lao highlands, Bolikhamsai", a hazy view of forested limestone karst. It is not uploaded: it shows the region rather than the seed line, and a freely licensed photograph could stand in for it, which a fair-use rationale cannot get past. RSC's /product/highland-lao-2-landrace-strain-cannabis-seeds/ carried two further Bolikhamsai accessions, neither of which has a page: Highland Lao #2, sourced "February 2020" and later "Winter 2020", and Highland Lao #3, "a new and distinct Winter 2021 accession from a different source" which, RSC wrote, was sold as Highland Lao #2 from late 2021 to late March 2022.
