Discussion
Sources
- MGR Online (24 November 2017) prints the Chawadan text: the disorder, the fourteen drugs in equal parts, pepper at half their weight, and the method. The text calls it "ยาแก้โรคขนานนี้", a remedy for santhakhat and dry klon; it is the formula of the 2019 list by its disorder, its source text (Chokevivat, Punpeng et al.) and its drugs.
- Chokevivat (2019, pp. 334, 340) names its source, the Chawadan in the Paetsart songkhroh, volume 1, second edition (1910), pp. 162, 368.
- Punpeng et al. (2022, Table 1, p. 167) list it as the one cannabis formula of the Chawadan, cannabis whole plant.
- Srithat et al. (2022, Tables 2–3) give its indications at the Sakon Nakhon clinic and its share of use, 1.31 per cent.
Is it cannabis?
- The Chawadan text in MGR Online lists กัญชา among the fourteen drugs.
Kind and plant part
- Traditional medicine. Whole plant: the text names the plant and no part, and Punpeng et al. give ทั้งต้น.
- Still made: yes (given at the Sakon Nakhon clinic, 2020–2022).
- First recorded: no year is stored.
Name
- The title is the RTGS form of แก้สัณฑฆาต กล่อนแห้ง, the spelling of the 2019 list. Punpeng et al. spell it แก้สันฑะฆาต; Matichon (2019) and Srithat et al. write กร่อน for กล่อน. All three are redirects.
Related formula
- The drugs of Thap yathikhun (Thianwan et al. 2023) are the same fourteen with ya dam added, and its pepper is equal to all the drugs rather than half; the method and the dose are the same. No source read says how the two texts are related, so the article does not compare them.
