Discussion
Sources
- Riboulet-Zemouli and Allué Creus (2024), PMC full text: section 2 on cannabine and haschischine, tables 1 and 2, appendix D.1.
Is it cannabis?
The source gives every preparation as made with hemp extract and Dausse's haschischine as an extract of "Indian hemp".
Left out
- King's American Dispensatory (1898) names "Gastinel's hashiscin", an alcoholic extract of gunjah. None of these sources says it is the same thing as haschischine.
- Other formulas in the source's tables (Dujardin-Beaumetz, Astier, Berthier, Martin, Ségard and Laemmer, the "Japanese Pills") are named formulas of their own, not haschischine.
