Burmese General Population 2023 is a landrace cannabis accession collected in 2023 in Shan State, Burma. It was the stock The Real Seed Company (RSC) sold under the listing Burmese until a later collection replaced it.[1]
Collection Details
The listing gave the sourcing as The Real Seed Company, Shan State, Southeast Asia, 2023, and a latitude of about 21° N.[1] It described the seed as collected direct from Shan State, an ethnically Tai region of Burma, by an aficionado and cultivator from Laos who was impressed by the ganja and brought back seed to cultivate at home.[1] The listing names no village, farmer or collector.
RSC called it "new winter 2023 stock" and quoted at length a grower who ran a large number of plants indoors, describing a big, vigorous Sativa with large, fluffy buds, mango-carrot and spicy aromas when growing, peppery, herbal and incense notes when dried, and a strongly stimulating high.[1]

While this stock was on sale the listing gave a height of 2 to 4 metres and the characteristics "rich aromas, soaring high, Sativa-type architecture".[1]
Cultivation Details
RSC gave the purpose as ganja, which it glosses as seedless or lightly seeded buds, and the regional harvest as December to March.[1]
