Iranian #2 General Population 2022 is a landrace cannabis accession from Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran, listed as Iranian #2 in the seed catalogue of The Real Seed Company (RSC).[1] RSC describes it as a landrace from the far east of Iran, on the frontier of Pakistan.[1]
Geography
RSC places the landrace in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, in the far east of Iran on the frontier of Pakistan and, in relative terms, not far from southeastern Afghanistan. Its sourcing line names Saravan, and the listing gives a latitude of about 27° N.[1]
Collection Details
The listing gives the sourcing as Kushman, Saravan, Iran (2022), and states that the seeds were collected from the winter 2022 harvest.[1] The Kwik Seeds listing of the same line, on the shop RSC calls its other site,[2] gives the same sourcing.[3] Neither listing names a village or farmer. RSC's October 2019 blog post describes Kushman as a collector with many years of experience and connections throughout the region.[4] Both listings report that the seeds were retested in summer 2025 and showed germination close to 100 per cent.[1][3]
Cultivation Details
RSC and Kwik Seeds give the purposes as charas (sieved resin) and bhang and list outdoor, greenhouse or indoor growing.[1][3] Kwik Seeds files the line under Auto & Semi-Auto, a category for autoflowering and semi-autoflowering strains.[5]
Botanical Characteristics
RSC advises growers to expect plants similar to those of its Iranian and Iranian #3 accessions (Iranian Reproduction 2019, Iranian #3 General Population 2022).[1] The Kwik Seeds listing names only Iranian.[3]
