Anda General Population 1922 is a historical seed accession of Cannabis sativa that the United States Department of Agriculture received from Anda, in Heilongjiang, China, on 25 September 1922 and numbered plant introduction (PI) 55797.[1] No seed of the lot survives. The National Plant Germplasm System, whose database carries the department's introductions, says the accession "no longer exists and can not be requested".[1]
The lot
G. C. Hanson, the American consul at Harbin, presented a collection of farm products "grown in the Provinces of Heilungchiang and Kirin" that he had gathered for a farm exhibit in the United States, received on 25 September 1922. The printed inventory lists this lot as "A variety of hemp grown at Anda", of the 1921–22 crop.[2]
