Migo s.n. is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected in Hebei (then Hopeh), China, on 21 July 1943 by H. Migo. The Institute of Botany, Jiangsu Province and Chinese Academy of Sciences in Nanjing holds the sheet as NAS00290144[1].
Collection and locality
The sheet carries a label of the herbarium of the Shanghai Science Institute, with the collector's line printed, collected by H. Migo. By hand it gives the name, the province 河北省 (Hopeh) followed by a two-character place name ending in 口 whose first character was not read with confidence, and the date Jul. 21. 1943. A pencilled 868 at the foot of the sheet sits over a red stamp cut off at the edge.[2] The catalogue gives the collector, the year and Hebei, with no number.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries a large, branched plant with its roots, its leaves of narrow, serrate leaflets. The label names it Cannabis sativa L., with no determiner.[2] The Chinese Virtual Herbarium publishes its sheet images under a non-commercial, no-derivatives licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0); they are read and cited here, not reproduced.
