Kamelin 437 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa gathered on the floodplain on the left bank of the Selenga, 7 km above the mouth of the Dzulegtiyn Gol, at 1,002 m, in Ikh-Uul sum of Khövsgöl Province, northern Mongolia, on 28 June 2007 by R. V. Kamelin, A. I. Shmakov, Sh. Dariymaa and four others. The Altai State University Herbarium at Barnaul holds the sheet as 1100011370.[1]
Collection and locality
The sheet carries the printed label of the herbarium of Altai State University and its South Siberian Botanical Garden, completed in Russian with an English translation. It reads Монголия, Хубсугульский аймак, сомон Их-Ула, левобережье. р. Селенги в 7 км выше устья р. Дзулэгтийн-Гол, пойма, 49°24'43" с.ш., 101°54'00"в.д., H=1002 м. (Mongolia, Khubsugul aimag, sum Ikh-Ula, left bank of the Selenga, 7 km above the mouth of the Dzulegtiyn Gol, floodplain, 49°24′43″ N, 101°54′00″ E, altitude 1002 m). It is dated 28 июня 2007 г. and numbered СМЭ 437, and it names seven collectors: R. V. Kamelin, A. I. Shmakov, Sh. Dariymaa, A. V. Vaganov, R. A. Zubov, O. P. Kamelina and V. I. Dorofeev.[2] The catalogue gives the seven collectors, the date, the place text, the label's point with an uncertainty of 500 m, and the altitude, with no number.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries two plants pressed side by side with their roots, with palmate leaves of narrow leaflets and flower clusters along the upper stems.[2] The name Cannabis sativa L. is written on the label by hand, and the catalogue gives the same name.[2][1] The holder's image is not reproduced here, because its licence does not permit reuse.
