Colombian Rosé 2022 is a seed accession of Colombian Rosé, a cannabis cross that Hyp3rids, a seed company, sells as a pack of fifteen or more regular seeds. The company describes it as an 80's Colombian Gold S1 crossed with an inbred Zacatecas Purple male, a line that the company's catalogue files under Mexico. The Colombian parent is sold under the Colombian Gold name (Santa Marta Gold).[1]
History
The earliest archived capture of the company's own page for the line was made on 9 December 2022.[1] The company says that the 80's Colombian Gold is a "hybridised Colombian" that a forum acquaintance gave it, passed around in the 1980s, selfed by that grower, and stored as seed in a refrigerator for more than twenty years. It says that the cultivar is reported to be a Highland Colombian Gold narrow-leaf type crossed with a Colombian Gold of shorter flowering.[1] The same 80's Colombian Gold is the mother of the company's Colombian Gold Legacy Edition (HYP-COL-UNK-0120230001).
Growth
The company describes a shorter-flowering, stockier and more compact plant than its 70's Colombian Gold, with a 12-week flowering time and an easy-to-manage structure.[1]
Aroma
The company says the aromas follow both parents: sandalwood incense, frankincense, cedar and pine, with a very peppery taste, and in some plants a fruitier, citrus smell. It says that, despite the broader leaves, the high keeps low or no sedation in most plants.[1]
