Evidentiary scope
The mounted label reads Colld by Dr. Cooke. At Seeni on the Sutlej. Nov 1890. 3000 feet. It gives no sex, cultivated or wild status, local name, preparation, use or field observation, so nothing shows whether the plant was cultivated, grew wild or had escaped. The accession is classified Unknown. The sheet shows no continuing population and no living germplasm holding, and no conservation priority is assigned.
Georeferencing
The label names the settlement but does not identify a collection point within it, so the coordinate is Sunni's own point in OpenStreetMap (way 49395713), 31.24, 77.12, used as a locality georeference rather than as a reconstructed collection point. Two disagreements are recorded rather than resolved. OpenStreetMap tags this town Karsog tehsil, in Mandi district, against the Shimla District placement the infobox takes from the district administration and the 1911 gazetteer; the Sutlej is the district boundary on that reach, so the tagging reads as a boundary artefact rather than as a second Sunni. The town also stands at about 677 m against the label's 3,000 feet, which is 914 m, a figure that fits the slope above the town rather than the town itself.

The coordinate georeferences the place the label names, at two decimal places, with the mapped object named above. The town as OpenStreetMap maps it (way 49395713) reaches 0.7 km from the point; the uncertainty adds about 1 km for the slope above the town that the label's altitude points to, and 1 km for the rounding of the point. Basis: settlement point. Uncertainty: about 3 km. Éloise 06:11, 18 September 2026 (+07)
