Statements corrected in the article

  • Boorsma's survey and Aceh. The article said that Aceh "was also the one region where the government's 1913–1918 survey had found cannabis planted in most divisions". Boorsma's article (Teysmannia, 1918, p. 329, repeating p. 25 of his report in the 1915 yearbook of the Department of Agriculture, Industry and Trade) says that in Aceh and dependencies the plant occurs in most divisions and that there are plantings of it in a few ("komt de plant in de meeste afdeelingen voor; in enkele afdeelingen bestaan er aanplantingen van"). On the same page Boorsma lists cultivated gandjo sent from Fort de Kock and Painan on Sumatra's West Coast and cannabis material from the East Coast residency, and his conclusions (p. 331) say that the plant was grown in all three Sumatran residencies. The sentence now gives what the survey reports.
