Discussion

Evidentiary scope

The page rests on the strainguide entry caledonian, read through its Wayback capture of 27 July 2009. Éloise 22:30, 12 October 2026 (+07)

Georeferencing

The entry's point, "-22.06,166.4,4", is the strainguide's own placing of the entry on its world map (latitude, longitude and zoom level). It is entered as published, -22.06, 166.4. It reverse-geocodes in OpenStreetMap (6 October 2026) to Païta, South Province, New Caledonia, in the place the entry names. The strainguide placed entries on a world map at zoom level 4, so the point marks the entry, not a collection site. The entry names no place; New Caledonia is read from its name and its point. One pixel of the map at zoom level 4 is about 10 km across, which is the uncertainty given. Basis: holder's georeference. Uncertainty: about 10 km. Éloise 22:30, 12 October 2026 (+07)
