Evidentiary scope

The page rests on the strainguide entry Colombian Santa Marta gold, read through its Wayback capture of 29 January 2008. Éloise 22:16, 12 October 2026 (+07)

Georeferencing

The entry's point, "11.083,-73.917,4", is the strainguide's own placing of the entry on its world map (latitude, longitude and zoom level). It is entered as published, 11.083, -73.917. It reverse-geocodes in OpenStreetMap (6 October 2026) to Santa Marta municipality, Magdalena, in the place the entry names. The strainguide placed entries on a world map at zoom level 4, so the point marks the entry, not a collection site. The entry does not say whether "Santa Marta" means the city or the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, which spans three departments, so no department is entered. One pixel of the map at zoom level 4 is about 10 km across, which is the uncertainty given. Basis: holder's georeference. Uncertainty: about 10 km. Éloise 22:16, 12 October 2026 (+07)

Editorial treatment

  • Accession ID. VIB-COL-UNK-0100000001: VIB; COL; UNK, see Georeferencing; 01; 0000, no collection year being stated; 0001.
  • Seed company. The classification says the line was sold by "the Brazilian Seed Company" as Colombian gold. The page quotes that as the entry's words; it does not say where the collective's seed came from.
  • Flowering. 8 and 12 weeks from "8 - 12 weeks". Éloise 22:16, 12 October 2026 (+07)
