Border
The border is the part of the municipality of Urumita (OpenStreetMap relation 1314683; DIVIPOLA code 44855) that lies inside the border of the Baja Guajira growing area, the valley floor below 200 metres. It covers about 36 km², 15% of the municipality's 248 km²; the rest lies in the range growing areas. The municipal border is today's. The point in the infobox is a point inside the border, not a field.
Sources
- Betancourt and García (1994), p. 54, name Urumita among the growing zones "en la baja Guajira". They do not say whether the growing in Urumita was on the valley floor or the slopes.
- The status is Historical: Betancourt and García (1994), who name Urumita, write about the 1970s, and the Ministry of Defence's eradication dataset has no marijuana rows for the municipality (downloaded 20 October 2026). No source gives a year, so the infobox leaves the years blank.
