Evidentiary scope
The form gives a place in Sichuan, read only in part, an altitude and a year. Its habitat, read as grassy slope, is uncertain in both readings, and it names no use. The accession is classified Other and no conservation priority is assigned.
Label reading
Read twice, independently, from the Chinese Virtual Herbarium's image of each sheet (PE 00578031, 1,008 × 1,440 pixels; NAS00290118, 1,017 × 1,440 pixels).
- PE 00578031, field form (printed 中國西部科學院植物標本室 / 四川植物 Flora Of Szechuan, filled in by hand in blue ink): Field No. 731 / Date 9.5 1935 / Locality 峨[?]嵋[?]山 [·]寶[?]山下 [·][·][·] (the last group overwritten and blotted) / Altitude 1700m. / Habitat 草坡[?] / Habit (not read) / Leaf 綠色 / Flower 白色 / Name Humulus japonica (a wash of blue over it) / Collector T.H.Tu (stamped). Academy tag, blurred, stamps only. Determination slip: Cannabis sativa L. / Determinavit K.C.Kuan Dec. 1937. SZECHUAN province stamp; Fan Memorial Institute of Biology stamp; red number.

The readings agree on the number, the date, the altitude, the name, the stamp and the determination. Both find the locality largely unreadable: one reads its start as 峨嵋山 (Emei Shan), uncertain, the other as a different mountain name, also uncertain, and the habitat is uncertain in both. One reading did not read the Nanjing tag beyond its first line and the number.
- Tianjin sheet (NK 002164), read twice, independently, from the Chinese Virtual Herbarium's image (NK 002164, 1,080 × 1,440 pixels). No field form. Tag (printed in blue, completed in pencil): 中國西部科學院川康植物廿 and a pencilled figure over the gap, read as 4 (one reading leaves it unread) / 年採集 / 第 and a pencilled number, read as 731 and as 231[?] / 號. Determination slip (typed): Cannabis sativa L. / Determinavit K.C.Kuan Dec. 1937. Round purple stamp HERBARIUM / FAN MEMORIAL / INSTITUTE OF BIOLOGY, / PEIPING, CHINA, the Chinese lines faint; red 54183. Barcode NK 002164. The readings agree on the slip, the stamp and the red number; one marks its whole reading low in confidence.
Georeferencing
No point is given. The only place on the sheets that both readings read with confidence is the province, Sichuan. The form's locality is cursive, overwritten and blotted: one reading takes its start as 峨嵋山 (Emei Shan) and the other as a different mountain name, both uncertain, and neither reads a place below the mountain that could be searched. The province field takes Sichuan.
Editorial treatment
Three sheets, one accession. The sheets share the number 731 and the Academy's tag series; the Nanjing sheet carries no date or collector. The Tianjin sheet's pencilled number was read once as 731 and once as 231, and a third look did not settle the first figure; but it shares with the Beijing sheet K. C. Kuan's slip of December 1937 and the Fan Memorial Institute's red number 54183, so the two sheets carry one number of that herbarium. The page takes the three as one gathering, as the catalogue does. The repository and catalogue number are Beijing's.
Determination. The form's Humulus japonica (a hop) was the field name; K. C. Kuan's slip of 1937 names the plant cannabis, and the plant on both sheets has the palmate, serrate leaves of cannabis and no twining stem.
Date. The form's 9.5 1935 could be 5 September or 9 May; the year 1935 alone is stored.
Collector. The collector field takes the stamp's T. H. Tu. The catalogue gives 杜大华 (Du Dahua; Tu Ta-hua in the romanisation of the time), which fits the initials, but the characters appear nowhere on the sheets and no source on him was found. The name is not linked.
Elevation. The elevation field stores the form's 1,700 m.
Image. The Chinese Virtual Herbarium publishes its images under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, so the page cites each sheet's image and shows none.

- The catalogue gives the Nanjing sheet's collector as 中国西部科学院川康植物; the sheet names no collector.
- The catalogue gives the Beijing sheet's collector as 杜大华; the sheet's stamp reads T.H.Tu.
