Discussion

Evidentiary scope

The label describes the plant as a Herb, common in group in open space, with white flowers, in Thailand on 2 October 1968, and the catalogue gives the habitat as Common in group, in open spaces. The sheet records no legible place, no cultivation, no local name and no use. It is kept because the date, the number and the catalogue's determination are clear. The plants grew in open ground, outside cultivation. The accession is classified Feral, by inference from the label and the catalogue; the label does not say whether the plants descended from a crop. A single gathering does not establish a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

The locality is not legible, so no province, district or coordinate is asserted.

Editorial treatment

The label and the catalogue give the collectors only as initials, S.P. and N.S., with a third name that has run. The title uses the first collector's initials. The collector field is left empty so that no page is linked from initials alone; the collector number carries S.P. et al. 15.

The infobox image is the Forest Herbarium's own scan of SN 009256, which the herbarium publishes with all rights reserved. It is used under fair use, with the rationale on its file page.
