Identifier

The accession identifier is RSC-THA-NAK-0120240001, built from the holder, the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country, the province segment, the month, the year and the sequence number.

  • Province segment NAK is for Nakhon Phanom Province, which the listing names.
  • Year 2024 is the year in the sourcing line. The month digits are 01 because no month is given.
  • Sequence 0001. It is the only RSC accession for this province segment.

Sourcing

The RSC listing for Nakhon Phanom Thai as it stood on 27 October 2026 and its four versions in the Wayback Machine from January 2025 to April 2026; the Kwik Seeds listing as it stood on 26 October 2026; RSC's post of 21 November 2024; and the GRIN-Global entry for G 34113. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose).

Lots at this listing

All four archived versions are titled Nakhon Phanom Thai and give the 2024 sourcing, so one lot has been on sale and the page is not split.

Typing

  • Classification: Landrace, sourcing type Point of Origin, autochtonous Yes: the listing describes a household and cash crop of the province, and the donor's note calls the seed a landrace from there.
  • Collector. Angus, as on the other accessions whose sourcing line reads "The Real Seed Company".
  • Growth pattern. "Sativa-type architecture" is entered as Christmas tree, a convention of the RSC accessions that the listing does not state.
  • Seasons. The planting and harvest months are the listing's account of the crop in the region.
  • Seed viability is left empty: neither listing reports a test.
  • Conventions. Photoperiod Short-day and introgression Minimal follow the other RSC accessions; the listing states neither.

Georeferencing

The listing names only the province of Nakhon Phanom; the donor's note on the USDA entry G 34113 names "Nakhon Phanom District", the province's capital district, Mueang Nakhon Phanom. The point 17.31, 104.55 lies inside that district (OpenStreetMap relation 18972661, about 789 km²), at the point OpenStreetMap gives for it; the district's centroid falls outside it, in the bend of the Mekong. It is an area point for the district, not the place the seed was gathered, and it rests on the donor's word "District". Basis: district point. Uncertainty: about 16 km.

Source discrepancies

  • Height. RSC: "c. 2 metres". Kwik Seeds, and RSC in January and May 2025: "2 – 4 metres".
  • Harvest. RSC: "between December and early March". Kwik Seeds, and RSC until October 2025: "between December and March".
  • Classification line. Kwik Seeds and RSC in January 2025: "Cannabis sativa subsp. indica var. indica"; RSC now gives none.

Photographs

None. The listing has never shown a photograph of this line; its archived versions show the shop's placeholder image.

USDA genebank accession

The U.S. National Plant Germplasm System holds Nakhon Phanom Thai seed as G 34113 (GRIN-Global entry), received on 3 August 2026 in a donation from Angus. The infobox lists it as the same lot as this accession:

  • the entry is named Nakhon Phanom Thai, and the donor's note places the seed in Nakhon Phanom, the listing's province;
  • every archived version of the listing, from January 2025 to April 2026, sells the same 2024 lot, and RSC lists no other.
