Evidentiary scope
The sheet shows that seed recorded as coming from Medellín was grown in a pot in Boston in 1972. It does not show where around Medellín the seed was produced, by whom, or whether it came from a crop. No surviving seed of the lot has been traced. Nothing on it shows what kind of population the seed came from, so the accession is classified Unknown. No conservation priority is assigned.
Lineage
The remark catalogue entries a sowing of seed from Medellín, so the accession is a reproduction, as for the wiki's other grow-out sheets. No generation is given, so the sourcing type is Unknown provenance. No parent accession is set.
Label reading
The sheet has not been seen. The fields above are Harvard's transcription in its specimen index for barcode 00429156, as captured on 8 October 2026 (the index has been unreachable since):
- Locality Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts; date 1972-11-**
- Habitat Cultivated in pot in sunny window
- Remarks Seed from Medellin. Colombia
- Collector T. C. Plowman; number sn; determination E. Small, 16 February 1976
Georeferencing
No point is given. The plant was grown outside Colombia, and the catalogue entry names Colombia as the seed's origin, and Medellín as the place the seed came from; the province field takes the department in which Medellín lies, and no point is set because the plant was not gathered there. The country field carries that origin; the map is off.
Editorial treatment
Title. The sheet has no collector number; the title takes the surname, s.n., the place where the plant grew and the year, as on the wiki's other Plowman sheets from Boston.
Country. The country field takes Colombia, the seed's recorded origin, as for other grow-out sheets; the Boston grow-out is in the prose.
