Dating

The article, updated Friday 16 October 2026, says "Narcotics Control Bureau officials said on Friday" and does not give the date of the operation itself. The stored date, 16 October 2026, is the date of the statement.

Quantities

The article says "Approximately 37,000 Cannabis plants spread across 25 acres of forest land". Both figures are approximate. The stored 10.1 hectares is a conversion of 25 acres (25 x 0.4047 = 10.1).

Map pin

The operation covered three named sites in the district (the Radhanagar forest area, Debipur and Urangan Bari) and none has an entry of its own. The pin is Bishramganj (Q24935664), the seat of Sepahijala district (Q16086076), rounded to two decimals. Nothing happened at the pin itself.

A separate report of 16 October describes an operation by Sonamura police station and security forces at Dhanirampur in the same district: about 7,000 plants on five plots at Dhanirampur. This news item does not cover it.
