Dating

The Himalayan Times, in an article published on 13 October 2026, says the pickup was intercepted "on Monday evening". The stored date, 12 October 2026, is worked out from that.

Source discrepancies

The headline of the article reads "in three days", while the three seizures it describes fall within about 24 hours of each other (the night of 11 October to the evening of 12 October). The article says police made two arrests in all, "arresting two suspects", which covers this arrest and the one at Katari.

The article covers three seizures by Udayapur police, each with its own news item: Chargare, Chaudandigadhi (12 October); Saguri Bridge, Katari (11 October).

Map pin

The article names Belaka-5, a ward of Belaka municipality with no point of its own. The pin is OpenStreetMap's point for Belaka town, rounded to two decimals, and marks the municipality, not the interception.

These notes were recorded when the news item was prepared. Éloise 23:36, 14 October 2026 (+07)
