Discussion

Dating

Bhaskar English says the raid took place "on Sunday" at around 7 am, in an article published on 11 October 2026 (Bhaskar English). The stored date, 11 October 2026, is worked out from that.

Source discrepancies

The page title of the report reads "Alirajpur Police Raid Cannabis Fields; 2 Arrested Under NDPS Act". Its text says police "registered separate cases against two men" and that "cases had been registered", and it does not use the word arrested.

Quantities

The weight of 2,079 kg is the police figure for the plants as seized, about 1 kg a plant. It is not a yield of dried cannabis. The value of "around Rs 1 crore" is an estimate given by police and is not stored.

Category

The report says the plants were seized from the farms and does not say they were destroyed, so the item is filed as Enforcement.

Map pin

The report names the hamlet Dudwa Faliya within Chhota Itara. The hamlet has no point of its own. The pin is OpenStreetMap's point for the village of Itara Chhota in Jobat tehsil, Alirajpur district.
