The 8 October date is not from a Moroccan statement. Yabiladi writes "Spain's National Police said on Tuesday that the man was arrested on October 8", and Barlamane writes that the authorities "l'ont localisé le 8 octobre dans la ville du détroit, où il a été interpellé en exécution d'un mandat d'arrêt international". The announcement was on Tuesday 27 October 2026. The stored date is the date of the arrest.
Attribution
Neither outlet names the Moroccan authority that made the arrest. Yabiladi's lead says "Moroccan police have arrested the suspected leader", and Barlamane attributes the announcement to the Spanish police and names no arresting body. The agency field holds the body that made the announcement. The origin of the resin in Morocco is attributed in Barlamane to Spanish police ("a indiqué la police nationale"). Barlamane identifies the man by initials and an alias taken from the Spanish announcement. This news item does not repeat them.
