Quantities

TVC News gives the weight only in its headline and opening paragraph ("the recovery of 267kg of suspected Cannabis Indica in Lagos"); its account of the operation gives "275 sachets" and no weight. Political Economist (article of 7 October 2026) gives both in one sentence: "267 kilograms of suspected Canadian Cannabis Indica" in "275 individual sachets". The 267 kg is one seizure and not a total of the statement's operations.

Dating

The statement lists "operational successes recorded on October 6, 2026" and gives no separate date for the examination. The stored date is 6 October.

Place

TVC News says the container was examined "at Apapa". Political Economist says "at the Apapa Port". This news item gives Apapa. The pin is at Apapa, not at the port.

Attribution

"Suspected" and "Canadian Cannabis Indica" are the police statement's words.

An NDLEA statement of 4 October reports a different seizure in containers at Apapa Port, which has its own news item; that page sets the two accounts side by side. The police statement also reports rescues and other operations in Oyo, Plateau and Borno states, which are outside this news item.

These notes were recorded when the news item was prepared. Éloise 01:08, 9 October 2026 (+07)
