The Himalayan Times reports the vehicle check "on Monday" (5 October 2026). OnlineKhabar (article dated 19 Asoj 2083, 5 October 2026) says "गए राति" (last night). Neither gives a time. The stored date is 5 October, the publication date of both reports.

Source discrepancies

This news item follows The Himalayan Times on the load and the weight.

Point The Himalayan Times OnlineKhabar (Nepali)
Sacks "83 sacks of marijuana" "६३ वटा बोरा" (63 sacks)
Cover load "sacks of cauliflower" "बन्दागोभीले छोपेर" (covered with cabbage)
Weight "around 2,566kg" "२ हजार ५६६ केजी" (2,566 kg, with no "around")
Dateline Sunsari काठमाडौं (Kathmandu)

Both reports place the vehicle check at Sakhuwagachhi (Sakhuwa Gachhi Chowk) in Inaruwa ward 3, Sunsari.

Attribution

Only The Himalayan Times carries the police suspicion that the marijuana was produced in Dhankuta and other hill districts and may have been bound for India. OnlineKhabar's report does not mention it. The claim is the police's and comes from The Himalayan Times.
