Dating

The Times of India (article dated 7 October 2026, 00:07 IST) says the trap was laid "On Monday". I Love Nagar (article of 6 October 2026) says: "ही कारवाई सोमवारी (ता.५) संगमनेर शहर पोलीस ठाण्याच्या (Sangamner City Police Station) हद्दीत नाशिक-पुणे राष्ट्रीय महामार्गावरील सायखिंडी फाटा येथे करण्यात आली." The stored date is Monday 5 October 2026.

Place

The Times of India spells the junction "Saykhindi Phata"; the Marathi reports write सायखिंडी फाटा. Saamana (article of 7 October 2026) places it in Sangamner taluka: "सायखिंडी फाटा (ता. संगमनेर)". Sangamner taluka is in Ahilyanagar district, which this news item gives.

Map pin

Saykhindi Phata has no gazetteer point of its own, so the pin is the point for Sangamner and not the place of the seizure.

Attribution

The Times of India, I Love Nagar, Saamana and Divya Marathi (article) say the ganja came from Odisha. Loksatta's report (link) could not be opened (page not found) and was not read; its address names Assam.
