Quantities

The 17.15 kg of cannabis seeds in the same sentence is a separate quantity from the 1,100 kg of cannabis in 181 bags. The weights are those of the NDLEA statement as reported by TVC News.

Category

TVC News describes an arrest at a village with bags recovered there and does not describe a vehicle or a journey, so the item is filed as Enforcement.

Map pin

Iyala Nkun has no point in the gazetteers used. The pin is the point for Ikom Local Government Area.

The NDLEA statement reported by TVC News describes several seizures. Each seizure of cannabis of 25 kg or more is recorded as its own news item. The other five are: Zaria-Kaduna Expressway; Otuo, Owan East; Oba-Ile, Akure; Shasha, Akure; Port Harcourt airport. The statement also covers other drugs and smaller seizures of cannabis, which are not recorded.

These notes were recorded when the news item was prepared. Éloise 09:21, 12 October 2026 (+07)

Sex of the suspect

This news item described the suspect as a man. TVC News names the suspect, Adama Inuwa, 46, without giving the sex; the NDLEA placard shown in the photo gallery of the TVC News report reads "FEMALE". The headline and summary now say a woman, and the page has moved from News:2026-10-04/Enforcement/ndlea-recovers-1-100-kg-of-cannabis-in-181-bags-and-arrests-a-man-at-iyala-nkun-village-in-ikom-cross-river-st. Date of arrest

TVC News gives the date of arrest as 4 October 2026 ("on October 4"), and the stored date follows it. The NDLEA placard shown in the photo gallery of the TVC News report gives the date of arrest as "06/10/2026". Éloise 12:05, 12 October 2026 (+07)
