Dating

The statement, dated Sunday 13 September 2026, gives the raid date as "Wednesday 9th September" without a year; 9 September 2026 was a Wednesday.

The statement reports operations in several states. This news item covers only the Akure seizure. The statement's cannabis seizures in Kaduna and Bayelsa give no date for the arrests and are not covered here.

Map pin

The street named in the statement could not be placed, so the pin is the point for the city of Akure.

Kaduna and Bayelsa seizures

The Kaduna and Bayelsa seizures in the same statement are recorded as news items of their own, dated to the statement: NDLEA arrests a woman with 369.6 kg of cannabis at Gonin Gora in Kaduna State and NDLEA arrests four people with 876 kg of cannabis in 110 bags at Ovom, Yenagoa, in Bayelsa State.
