Dating

The Himalayan Times, published on 21 August, says police "raided the houses of two suspects in Daini Tole of Lalbandi-14 on Thursday based on a tip-off", which makes the day Thursday 20 August. OnlineKhabar English, published on 20 August, says the two were arrested "on Wednesday", which makes the day 19 August. This news item follows The Himalayan Times.

Source discrepancies

The two outlets differ on the day, the weight, the age of the older suspect and how the police came to the houses.

Point The Himalayan Times OnlineKhabar English
Day "on Thursday" "on Wednesday"
Weight "743.98 kg of marijuana" "more than 660 kilograms" in the lead, made up of "560 kilograms" from one house and "another 100 kilograms" from a "cowshed"
Age of the older suspect 67 63
How police arrived "based on a tip-off" "A police team on regular patrol"

The weight and the day in the stored fields follow The Himalayan Times. Neither outlet says why its figures differ.

Quantities

The Himalayan Times gives the area of plants destroyed as "about two katthas of public land". The kattha is a local land unit and the area is not converted. No plant count is given, so the item carries no plant or hectare figure.

Category

The article reports both a seizure and the destruction of plants growing on public land. A report with both is recorded as Eradication, with the seizure in the summary. The destruction is small beside the 743.98 kg seized, and the article gives no plant count.

Place

Neither outlet names the province. Wikidata places Sarlahi District (Q28074) in Madhesh Province (Q25104009), which the item uses as the first-level division.

Map pin

The raid was in Daini Tole, Lalbandi-14, which has no Wikidata entry. The pin is Wikidata's point for the settlement of Lalbandi (Q3421873), rounded to two decimals, as an event site. It does not mark the two houses or the plot.
