Dating

Nepal News is stamped 12 August 2026 and says the pair "were arrested on Tuesday night". The article gives no date number. The Tuesday before 12 August is 11 August, which the item uses.

Attribution

The article says the suspects "had arrived in Nepal aboard a Cathay Pacific flight carrying marijuana produced in Thailand" and gives no source for the Thai origin. It says "Preliminary investigations reveal that the pair had planned to smuggle the contraband into India through a local Nepali agent a few days later". The item attributes the origin, the route and the plan to the article.

Two earlier reports from Kathmandu concern different arrests: a seizure at Tribhuvan International Airport on 1 August and one at the Kathmandu bus park on 5 August. The article does not connect this arrest to either.
