On 11 October 2026 RTS reported that "Deux jeunes Vaudois de 18 et 19 ans ont été arrêtés fin juillet à l'aéroport de Phuket, en Thaïlande, avec 16 kilos de cannabis dans leurs valises." The Thaiger's report of 28 July names two Swiss nationals aged 19 and 18 among the four arrested. The RTS report mentions neither the two French nationals nor the 33.6 kg total, and The Thaiger does not say where in Switzerland the two Swiss came from. Whether the two reports describe the same arrest is not settled by the sources read.
The later Swiss reports differ on the quantity carried by the two Swiss men:
