The Karen Human Rights Group received the situation update in March 2018 and published it on 28 September 2018. The stored date is the date it gives for the clearing, 2 March 2018.

Place

The update writes "Kyweh Htein Kon village". The pin follows the OpenStreetMap village Kywe Htein Kone (ကျွဲထိန်းကုန်း) in Tanintharyi Township, about 7 km north of Nyaung Pin Kwin, the village of the militia chief who attended. A village called Kywe Htein Kwin lies about 2 km from Nyaung Pin Kwin; the update writes "Kwin" for Nyaung Pin Kwin and "Kon" for the village of the clearing. Mergui-Tavoy District is the Karen National Union's district. The district field gives Myeik District, the government district that holds Tanintharyi Township.
