The Indiatimes page now carries 24 January 2017 in its metadata and 9 March 2026 on screen, but neither is the date of first publication. A copy of the full text was posted on aastikco.wordpress.com on 26 October 2016, and Herb.co cited the Indiatimes article on 1 November 2016. The stored date, 26 October 2016, is the earliest date the article is known to have existed; it may have appeared a little earlier. The article's "this year", when the cardamom crop failed, is therefore 2016. The page title keeps the date under which the item was first recorded.

Place

The article is about Idukki District as a whole and names no village. Its one named place, the Mathikettan Shola, is where it says most of the 2016 plantations were. The pin marks the district, not the Mathikettan Shola.
