Dating
The 1990 Annual Report of the Attorney General of the United States dates the operation only to 1990. The months come from William W. Mendel, "Counterdrug strategy: illusive victory", Military Review, December 1992, note 3: "During Operation Wipeout, August-October 1990 in the Hawaiian Islands". The stored date is the first day of the first month he names.
Quantities
The Justice Department's figure is "over 700,000 marijuana plants", destroyed by "both herbicidal spraying and manual eradication techniques". The stored count, 700,000, is that floor, and it covers both methods: neither source says how many plants were sprayed.
Map pin
Neither source names an island. The operation covered the state, so the pin is Honolulu, the state capital, and marks the state, not a place of spraying.
