Identifier
The accession identifier is NPG-IND-UNK-0020240001, built to the grammar in the project's naming reference: holder NPG (the U.S. National Plant Germplasm System), ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country, province segment, month and year of collection, sequence. The entry gives no collection date, so the date segment is month 00 and the year the genebank received the seed, 2024, and the descriptive name carries no year. The sequence counts this holder's accessions with the same country, province and date. The genebank's own number is G 33862.
Sourcing
Everything on this page comes from the GRIN-Global entry, as it stood on 27 October 2026: the passport data, the source history and the donor's narrative. The narrative is the donor's own account of the seed, edited lightly by the curator. The entry's source history repeats a line saying that Angus collected the seed on every accession of the July 2024 donation, and its collector field names Angus on all of them; the narrative names no collector, so the infobox leaves the field empty.
Classification
The infobox gives the classification as feral, from the donor's note. The passport's improvement status is landrace.
Georeferencing
No point is given. The name Anandpur resolves to several places in India: the town of Anandpur Sahib in Rupnagar district, Punjab (Wikidata Q589664), and villages of the name in Uttar Pradesh (Q123630968) and in East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand (Q125728138), among others. The note says only that the plants grew by the roadside outside Anandpur, and the entry does not say which one.
