Evidentiary scope

The sources give a former princely state, two days and a number. They record no habitat, no use and no note on cultivation. The accession is classified Other. A single gathering does not establish a landrace or a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

No point is given. Bashahr State was a princely state of the Punjab hill states, a historical unit; its area now lies in Himachal Pradesh, in Kinnaur District and part of Shimla District, and no single district of today is the same area. The only source for the place is McPartland and Small's list.

Editorial treatment

Date. The catalogue gives 6 to 7 October 1933, McPartland and Small 6 October; the field stores the month.

Place. The locality field gives the former state, as McPartland and Small name it; the province field is the state that holds its area today. Small and Cronquist's 1976 taxonomy cited the same gathering from Bashahr State (the wiki's page Walter Norman Koelz).

Image. No image of the sheet was read for this page; its values are the holder's catalogue's. The Smithsonian publishes no image of it.

These notes were recorded during accession preparation. Source citations remain in the article. Éloise 05:00, 16 October 2026 (+07)
