Evidentiary scope
The two Johnston gatherings are a male and a female plant from the same place, thirteen months apart, cross-referenced to one another on their labels and identified with each other by the curator of the Natal Herbarium. They document one population at Mooi River across two seasons, which is more than any other pair in this batch does. They remain two gatherings and are two accessions. The catalogue gives a collector, a number, a date and a locality. It is a single gathering and shows neither a continuing population nor a living germplasm holding, so it supports neither a landrace nor a feral classification. The accession is classified Other. No conservation priority is assigned.

No catalogue gives a coordinate for this sheet, and the label gives none. None is asserted.

Source discrepancies
The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh publishes two licences for this image. Its IIIF manifest states CC BY-SA 2.5 with attribution required; the Darwin Core record and GBIF's media block state CC0. The file page follows the manifest, which is the herbarium's own statement about the image rather than about the data, as the wiki's earlier Edinburgh file pages do.
