Evidentiary scope

The catalogue gives a place, a year and a number. It records no habitat, no use and no note on cultivation. The accession is classified Other. A single gathering does not establish a landrace or a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

No point is given. Zanzibar resolves to more than one place: Zanzibar City (OpenStreetMap node 3320526612) and the island of Unguja, whose middle lies 14.6 km from the city's node, and in 1867 it also named the sultanate's islands as a whole; the catalogue does not say which is meant, and no other place is named.

Editorial treatment

Collector. The museum spells the name Joblonski. The National Herbarium in Pretoria holds a sheet of another plant from Zanzibar of 1867 under Jablonski, M, number 10, and the title takes that spelling. The page does not identify the collector further, and the collector field is left empty because only a surname is known.

Image. No image of the sheet was read for this page; its values are the holder's catalogue's. The museum's image of the sheet is published under CC BY 4.0 but could not be retrieved for this page (GBIF's image cache does not hold it, and the museum's own server refused the connection); the label has not been read.

The sheet's label: it may give the collector's name, the place and a note on the plant more fully than the catalogue.

These notes were recorded during accession preparation. Source citations remain in the article. Éloise 07:26, 16 October 2026 (+07)
