Discussion

Evidentiary scope

The catalogue places the plant at Ketama on 25 April 1987 and records nothing else about it: no habitat, no note of cultivation, no use, no local name and no height. The accession establishes presence at Ketama on that date and no more. It is classified Other and no conservation priority is assigned.

No image of the sheet has been published, through GBIF, the Spanish GBIF node or the herbarium, so the label has not been read. Anything the label carries beyond the catalogue's fields, such as a habitat note or a local name, has not been seen.

Georeferencing

The catalogue gives the single word Ketama, which in 1987 named the village now called Issaguen as well as the wider Ketama area. The coordinate is the Issaguen point (Wikidata Q2737756), 34.92, −4.57, the point used for the other Ketama accessions. It stands for the place-name and not for a collection site. The team's other sheets that day include Ketama, Cedrales (the cedar woods), so the plant may have been gathered some distance from the village.

Editorial treatment

The title follows the <Collector> s.n., <Locality> (<Year>) form for unnumbered sheets, with the first-named collector. The collector number field adds et al. because the catalogue names three collectors.

The collectors are given as the catalogue gives them. Botanist indexes connect a J. Esteban Hernández Bermejo, a Margarita Clemente Muñoz and an Antonio J. Pujadas Salvà with the Córdoba herbarium, but the catalogue entry for the sheet does not expand the names, so they are not expanded here.

The catalogue number is given as the herbarium publishes it, 18393-1.
