Sources
- Rosetti (1959), Materiale şi cercetări arheologice 6: 791–816, in Romanian with Russian and French summaries: the excavation, grave 12 (p. 801), grave 9 (p. 800), the note on the seeds "for fumigation" (p. 807), the dating and the French summary (p. 815).
- McPartland and Hegman (2018), Vegetation History and Archaeobotany 27, Online Resource 2 (the site table): the review's entry and comment.
Source discrepancies
- The "cup". McPartland and Hegman note a ceramic cup with cord impressions in a nearby grave. Rosetti reports vessels with corded decoration in graves 3 and 4 of the upper level of mound 2, the same mound as grave 12. The article gives both.
- Culture. Rosetti assigns the graves to the culture of red-ochre burials in mounds; McPartland and Hegman to the Yamnaya culture. The infobox gives both and the article attributes each.
- Date. Rosetti's dates are of 1959, taken from Gimbutas and Passek for the burial types. He does not date grave 12 on its own. McPartland and Hegman give none. The infobox date fields are left empty.
- Identification. Rosetti names no one who identified the seeds and does not describe them; McPartland and Hegman note this.
- Name. The title is diacritic-free; the article and the infobox display Gurbănești.
Infobox values
- Coordinates. None. Rosetti prints none; the review's coordinates are not from an excavation or dating paper.
- Excavated. 1937–1938 for the three mounds. The trial dig of 1936 near Preasna is given in the article.
- Analyses and disputed. Left empty: no method of identification is recorded and no cited paper rejects the identification.
Georeferencing
No point is given. Rosetti places the mounds on the plain near the village of Gurbănești and the river Mostiștea but prints no position, and no gazetteer holds the mounds: Wikidata and OpenStreetMap give points only for the villages of Gurbănești and Preasna. The review's position (44.37° N, 26.69° E) lies about 1 km south of the village's point and marks no recorded site. Éloise 23:06, 29 October 2026 (+07)
