Evidentiary scope

The catalogue entry gives a rural district and an elevation, and says nothing about the plant or how it grew there. Nothing in the catalogue entry says whether the plant was cultivated or grew spontaneously, so the accession is classified Unknown. No conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

The point 5.29, -73.16 is the middle of the municipality of Zetaquira, Boyacá, OpenStreetMap relation 1354797 (about 260 km²); the middle falls inside it. The Humboldt Institute publishes a point, 5.2375, −75.010833, but it fails the check: reverse geocoded, it falls in Fresno, Tolima, about 205 km west of Zetaquira, which suggests a slip in the longitude (−75 for −73). It is not used. The vereda Hormigas was not resolved to a mapped place. The uncertainty is the radius of a circle of the municipality's size, √(area/π), rounded up. Basis: district point. Uncertainty: about 10 km.

Source discrepancies

  • The Humboldt Institute's point, 5.2375, −75.010833, lies in Fresno, Tolima, not in Zetaquira, Boyacá, the municipality its catalogue entry names.
