Sources
- The status is Active: the sources describe marijuana grown in the municipality after 2000, the latest in 2023–2024.
- The Ministry of Defence's eradication dataset lists, for Corinto with crop type marihuana: 43 rows, 24 January 2010 to 11 June 2019, 28.19 hectares (downloaded 20 October 2026). The figures on the page are sums of those rows.
- The 1950s dating is the Truth Commission's; the Riohacha recollection reported by Britto says only that marijuana was said to come from Corinto in the late 1960s. The army reports of 2011 and 2013 are known from the EFE dispatch carried by Telemedellín and from Diario Occidente; the original army bulletins were not read. The figure of 1,100 of 1,800 families is from the crop-substitution census as El Tiempo reports it (28 June 2019).
