Discussion

Sources

  • United States grower forums (THCFarmer, 2010 and 2011; Overgrow, 2018) and one seller's listing (The Landrace Team). The posts are testimony, each quoted and attributed to its poster.
  • The 2011 post is a recollection of 1974.

Where the sources differ

  • Where it came from. One 2010 poster says the black came from the north-east, another guesses the Manizales area; the 2011 post names Neiva; the seller places its line in Casanare.
  • The Colombian uses of negra. The forum posts do not connect the English name to Henman's la negra of Silvia, the 1976 thesis or the export grade.

Title, kind and redirects

  • Title. Colombian Black, the posters' form, with capitals as a trade name.
  • Kind. Trade name.
  • First recorded. 2010, the earliest dated post cited.
  • Accessions. The infobox searches "Colombian Black"; no accession carries it (2 November 2026).
